Getting your club to go viral - Social Media Workshop

This workshop provides an insight into how to successfully use social media to build the brand of your organisation by using creative social media posts.

Mike Worsman is an award winning journalist, filmmaker and marketing guru whose photos, videos and stories have been seen by more than 120 million people. In the last decade Mike has travelled the world, risking his life in warzones, refugee camps and remote tribal areas in order to capture and share the most astonishing and inspiring stories the world has to offer.

In 2012 Mike founded ‘A Million Smiles’ - an organisation dedicated to sharing stories about people, places and ideas that can inspire people to find and pursue what makes them truly happy. In 2015 his work with A Million Smiles saw him win the coveted Channel 9 Young Achiever of the Year for South Australia. Along side his efforts to inspire a happier world, Mike works with some of the most privileged and also marginal communities across the globe, from Olympic athletes and celebrities, to those in extreme poverty and people living with disabilities or critical health conditions in Australia and abroad.

A former mail medalist, senior football coach and all round lover and player of most sports, Mike has in recent years combined his passion for storytelling and sport, taking on a range of projects with the Office of Recreation and Sport, the Women in Sport Taskforce and Inclusive Sport SA. Most notably in 2016 he managed a campaign called Humans of Sport in SA, which he will discuss with you on the night.
