In Conversation with Buster Turner - Aldinga Library

Join Buster Turner as she is interviewed by her grandson, Tobias Turner.

As a member of the Stolen Generation, Buster has a rich history to share. Buster's story is one of resilience, identity, and culture. As a Kaurna and Yaldi Ngarrindjeri woman, she plays an active role in Aboriginal Land Rights, parks and biodiversity management, and the revival of the Kaurna language.

Tobias was recently awarded two Governor of South Australia Commendations, including the Aboriginal Student SACE Excellence Award. Tobias works at a local and state level towards a Kaurna Cultural Centre project, alongside the Reconciliation Action Plan Committee, and with a language group to promote the Kaurna language and its correct usage, spelling, and signage.
