Coastal Public Art Master Plan

The Coastal Public Art Master provides council with a conceptual framework to inform the commissioning of artwork along our coast.  The framework provides an overarching concept to guide individual artworks that will be commissioned through the ongoing, staged roll out of the Foreshore Access Plan.  Council will continue to apportion a minimum of 1% of major projects that are $2m or greater for the public art investment.

Public art implemented along our coast will create a public art trail, supporting increased visitation to our coast, increasing economic development and tourism opportunities.

The Coastal Public Art Master Plan is a guide and its implementation is dependent on the progress and funding of individual stages of the Foreshore Access Plan.

There may also be opportunities to explore the delivery of specific coastal public art projects and initiatives that are separate, but complementary to delivery of the Foreshore Access Plan.
