Almond Tree through Shed Window

The almond tree we view through the shed window  incorporates playful repurposing of old spanners as branches.

Feast of Friends

Cockatoos steal almonds from the tree. The old almond trees are no longer netted so provide a feast for the birds every year.

‘Cocky’ was a resident galah of Corn Street who was keen on a “cup-o-tea”! Cocky’s owner was Audrey Green co-author of Pioneers of Reynella: The Settlement of Reynella, SA from the 1830s to 1950s with Bob Stupple and Margarette Powell.
