Weatherald Terrace Upgrade Works - from Monday 29 January 2018

Notice of Full Road Closure Weatherald Terrace, Port Noarlunga South (between Commercial Road roundabout and South Port pedestrian bridge): from Monday 29 January 2018

Council is upgrading 2.5km of foreshore between Port Noarlunga and Port Noarlunga South.

The project will see Weatherald Terrace closed to through traffic for approximately eight months, commencing late January 2018.

Access to the South Port Bridge and surf lifesaving club will be maintained from one direction only during the construction period – initially from the south (via the Esplanade).

Queens Baton Relay - Wednesday 24 February

We advise that the following road will be temporarily closed to traffic for the Queens Baton Relay on Wednesday 24 February 2018 from 7am until 1pm.

  • Central Way, Aldinga Beach between Pridham Boulevard and McRae Street.

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour on roads.

Beachside Food & Wine Festival - Saturday 24 March 2018

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on Saturday 24 March 2018 between 7am-11pm:

  • Beach Road, Christies Beach between Witton Road and Esplanade
  • Esplanade, Christies Beach for approximately 100m either side of Beach Road
  • Grundy Terrace, Christies Beach between Beach Road and number 7

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour on roads.

Fridays After Five - Fridays 3 November 2017 - 27 April 2018

We advise that Old Coach Road, Aldinga between Port Road and 7 Old Coach Road will be temporarily closed to traffic on each and every Friday between 4.30pm and 10.30pm commencing Friday 3 November 2017 until Friday 27 April 2018.

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.

Willunga Farmers Market - every Saturday from September 2017 onwards

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on each and every Saturday between 6am and 2pm for a period of 12 months commencing Saturday 2 September 2017.

  • Kell Street from its intersection with Main Road extending approximately 65 metres east
  • Hill Street from its intersection with Kell Street extending approximately 45 metres north.

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.

Aldinga Township streetscape upgrade

Notice of One-way traffic restrictions along Port Road east (between Old Coach Road roundabout and Main South Road): Tuesday 16 January 2018

Streetscape works in the Aldinga township and Port Road east are progressing well.

In order to complete the bulk of the landscape works on the southern side of Port Road prior to the Tour Down Under on 20 January, we will be closing this section of road to eastbound traffic on Tuesday 16 January 2018.

The road will be open to traffic travelling west from Main South Road.

A small detour will be in place for these works.
