Road closures

Roy Terrace intersection upgrade, Christies Beach - 18 June - 27 July2018

Please note that no access from Roy Terrace to Beach Road will be available during the construction works. There will also be temporary road closures in place at times during the works.

Night works will be undertaken during the Beach Road / Roy Terrace intersection upgrade.  There will be a full road closure of a section of Beach Road during these night works allowing through traffic to resume during the day.  The night works will take approximately one week and are scheduled for mid-July between 7pm and 4am, with detours in place.

Every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience to surrounding residents and businesses during the works. 

 

Play-Skate Street - 6 June - 5 December 2018

We advise that Central Way, Aldinga Beach between Pridham Boulevard and McRae Street will be temporarily closed to traffic on the first Wednesday of each month between 2.30pm and 5.30pm from 6 June until 5 December 2018.

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.

Weatherald Terrace Upgrade Works - from Monday 29 January 2018

Notice of Full Road Closure Weatherald Terrace, Port Noarlunga South (between Commercial Road roundabout and South Port pedestrian bridge): from Monday 29 January 2018

Council is upgrading 2.5km of foreshore between Port Noarlunga and Port Noarlunga South.

The project will see Weatherald Terrace closed to through traffic for approximately eight months, commencing late January 2018.

Access to the South Port Bridge and surf lifesaving club will be maintained from one direction only during the construction period – initially from the south (via the Esplanade).

Willunga Farmers Market - every Saturday from September 2017 onwards

We advise that the following roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on each and every Saturday between 6am and 2pm for a period of 12 months commencing Saturday 2 September 2017.

  • Kell Street from its intersection with Main Road extending approximately 65 metres east
  • Hill Street from its intersection with Kell Street extending approximately 45 metres north.

Exemption is granted to all persons taking part in the event from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour.
