Our Economic Growth and Investment Strategy focuses on three pillars to increase economic activity in the City of Onkaparinga that seek to grow business, grow investment, and grow communities and tourism.

The aim of growing communities and tourism is to increase the number of people living, visiting, studying and working in our city.

We seek to achieve this through encouraging skilled migrants into the city and to enhance the knowledge base of the local workforce, attracting and retaining a skilled and talented work force and seeking opportunities to increase higher education and specialist training facilities within our city.

We are a leader in Southern Adelaide delivering a number of state and federal government funded labour market programs which align to our Community Plan 2035 local job priorities and our Economic Growth and Investment Strategy.

We encourage you to explore the various state and federal employment programs available and help is available by contacting Glenn Hickling, Economic Growth and Investment Officer on (08) 8384 0502, mobile 0414 374 756, or email glehic@onkaparinga.sa.gov.au
