Leadership Onkaparinga

A unique developmental program for residents who are passionate about their community and would benefit from developing their leadership skills.

Leadership Onkaparinga encourages residents to assume leadership roles in our communities. It also gives community leaders the opportunity to gain more skills and confidence to motivate and encourage others to lead.

Our community leadership program is held biennially at no cost to residents. Participants learn project management skills, how to analyse strengths and opportunities, effective communication and how to influence change.

Leadership Onkaparinga also offers pathways to further education and career opportunities and provides an option for participants to develop an e-learning portfolio which would gain at a minimum two Level IV nationally accredited competency units.

Using the unique Community Capacity Builders Framework™ participants will develop their own community project individually or in a team.

Practical skill development workshops contribute to the program and participants are offered the opportunity to work with project mentors through the duration of the program.
