Every Generation Onkaparinga awards

Our Every Generation Onkaparinga (EGO) ‘Celebrating Positive Ageing’ program celebrates the outstanding achievements and valuable contributions people of all ages, cultures and abilities make to positive ageing in our communities. During the month of October various events and activities are held for people to come together to celebrate and acknowledge these achievements and contributions.

The EGO Awards aim to recognise the outstanding achievements and valuable contributions people of all ages, cultures and abilities make to ‘positive ageing’ in our communities. Nominations are invited from any individual, group or organisation wishing to recognise people, community groups or clubs that:

  • have made a significant voluntary contribution to positive ageing which benefits local communities
  • are inspirational role models that instil pride in local communities
  • have reached an outstanding level of achievement in any field including arts, media, entertainment, Indigenous and cultural services, sport and recreation, environment, education and technology
  • are involved in intergenerational initiatives which bring together both seniors (ie individuals 50 years of age or older) and younger people in purposeful mutually beneficial activities.

Awards are presented in the following categories:

  • Individual
  • Group
  • Intergenerational

All nominees will be presented with a certificate of recognition at a presentation to be held in October/November.
