About us

The Transport Options Service receives funding and support from the City of Onkaparinga and Home and Community Care (HACC).The information service is provided through the Southern Metro Community Passenger Network (CPN).  The Southern Metro CPN operates as one of the 15 Community Passenger Networks that are located in South Australia and is a joint initiative between the City of Onkaparinga and the state government.

The Southern Metro Community Passenger Network aims to:

  • address the transport need in our region through the provision of a coordinated, central point of contact for transport information.
  • facilitate collective planning with transport providers and stakeholders to address the transport needs of communities in the region.
  • establish a network of transport stakeholders including but not limited to aged care, health, commercial, public and community transport providers, and consumer groups.
  • support the use of commercial transport services and resources in the region to meet identified transport demand where appropriate.
  • support newly developed transport services to link in with existing transport services to extend the effectiveness of the existing transport network.

We work closely with a number of different transport providers in the region and with other Community Passenger Networks to ensure that there is a coordinated approach to servicing the transport needs of residents.
