Our libraries offer morning and afternoon storytime sessions for children aged between 3-5 years.

These sessions are designed to:

  • support the development of language and literacy skills through, songs, rhymes, finger plays and stories
  • assist in the selection of appropriate reading materials for children 3-5 years
  • keep alive a heritage of nursery rhymes
  • demonstrate reading books to 3-5 years olds and the advantages of this to their language development
  • provide social experiences for both the children and their parents.

Morning storytime sessions are held WEEKLY at all our libraries at the following times – excluding school holidays.

Please note: Exclusions may apply during school holidays.  Contact your local library for more information.
