Parklets

Want to host a parklet

A parklet is a built platform that can consist of benches, chairs, tables, planter boxes and bike racks and is typically positioned over one or two car parking spaces to transform them from ‘places for cars’ to ‘places for people’.

As part of the City-Wide Place & Business Activation Plan, the Parklet program has been developed to support business growth and activation in the various maintsreets, coastal nodes and townships within the City of Onkaparinga, ultimately making the City an attractive place to live, work and do business.

The program supports up to three parklets for use across the City of Onkaparinga, with one parklet currently being trialled for a 12 month period (until December 2018) on Gawler Street, Port Noarlunga, hosted by the Coffee Factory.
