Microchipping

The Dog and Cat Management Board has put out a news release about microchipping. It addresses the major concern they are getting at the moment, microchipping older dogs and cats, with quotes from 2 vets about the procedure and reason why it is important for older animals to be chipped. It also advises people to talk to the vet if they have specific concerns about their animal, as vets can exempt after 1 July for medical reasons.
