Sharps and syringes - disposal and pick up

Please be aware that sharps and sharps container disposal is not permitted in general waste or recycling bins.

There is a community sharps disposal bin located on the outside of the Noarlunga Health Village, Noarlunga Centre, on the western side of the building where sharps can be disposed of at any time. There is also a vending machine next to this bin where packets of new needles may be purchased.

Medical sharps containers are not for sale at our offices. Please contact your local pharmacy or supplier of medication for further advice/information about obtaining/purchasing sharps containers.

Diabetics are able to access free medical sharps containers from the needle exchange program at the main counter of Noarlunga Health Village and can also take their used containers there for safe disposal.
