Room to Recycle - Bathroom

 

ShampooShampoo bottles

  • Shampoo and conditioner bottles can be recycled with other plastic containers.

    Please empty completely, flatten bottle if possible and replace lid loosely on the bottle.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin
  • Haircare product tubes can be recycled via Terracycle collection points at Woodcroft Community Centre or Willunga Environment Centre.

    Please make sure all excess product has been removed (ie. conditioner, hair colouring).

OR

  • Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

Hand soapHand soap

  • Hand soap bottles can be recycled with other plastic containers.

    Please empty completely and replace lid loosely on the bottle. Place in the yellow/recycling bin.
     

 

Toothpaste and toothbrushesToothbrush & toothpaste tube

  • Plastic toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes can be recycled via Terracycle collection points at Woodcroft Community Centre or Willunga Environment Centre.

    Please make sure all excess product has been removed (ie. leftover toothpaste).

OR

  • Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.
     

 

RazorRazors

  • Shavers and razors are a mixed material item and cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.
     

 

DeoderantDeodorant and hair spray

  • Aerosol containers can be recycled with other steel and aluminium items.

    Please ensure can is completely empty.

    Remove plastic lid and place both items in the yellow/recycling bin. 

 

TowelsTowels

  • Textiles can be reused through donation - if good quality, consider giving them to charity. 

    RSPCA also accepts some other items for pet bedding.

OR

  • Place in the red/waste to landfill bin.


     

 

Room to Recycling lounge tvHairdryer

  • These CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    Hairdryers can be recycled with other electrical items.

    If in good condition, consider giving it away or selling it.

Otherwise, you can:

 

Toilet paperToilet paper rolls

  • Toilet paper rolls can be recycled with other paper and cardboard items.

    Please remove all toilet paper from the roll and place the roll in the yellow/recycling bin.
 
  • Leftover toilet paper can go in the green organics or waste bin.
