PapertowelPaper towel

  • Paper towel is a low-grade compostable paper and should not be placed in the recycling bin

    Please place in the green organics bin.

 

Fresh flowersFresh flowers

  • Fresh and dried flowers can be recycled into compost with other plant matter.

    Please remove any wrapping, florist’s foam, or rubber bands and place in the green organics bin.

 

Cans and tinsCans and tins

  • Cans and tins can be recycled with other steel and aluminium items.

    Please ensure can/tin is completely empty. Place both lid and can/tin in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Glass and jarsGlass bottles and jars

  • Glass bottles and jars can be recycled.

    Please ensure bottle/jar is completely empty. Remove plastic or metal lid and place both items in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

VegetablesVegetable scraps

  • Vegetable scraps are compostable and can be recycled in your home compost bin, worm farm, Bokashi or fed to chooks.

OR

  • Place in the green organics bin. 

 

FruitFruit scraps

  • Fruit scraps are compostable and may be suitable for your home compost bin, worm farm, Bokashi or fed to chooks.

OR

  • Place in the green organics bin. 

 

KettlesKettles

  • These CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    Kettles can be recycled with other electrical items.

    For disposal, you can:

 

Cereal boxesCereal boxes

  • Cereal boxes can be recycled with other paper and cardboard items.

    Please flatten box before placing in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Chip packetsChip packets and soft plastics

Chip packets and soft plastics (e.g. plastic bags, cling wrap, bubble wrap) cannot be placed in the yellow/recycling bin.

  • Recycle soft plastics by dropping them off at Coles Supermarkets in the soft plastics recycling bins (does not include cling wrap or zip lock bags).

OR


  • Place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

Mugs and other crockeryMugs and cups

  • Mugs and cups are made of ceramic and cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

Milk bottlesMilk bottles

  • Milk bottles can be recycled with other plastic containers.

    Please empty completely, flatten bottle if possible and replace lid loosely on the bottle.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin.

Glass coffee jars

  • Glass coffee jars can be recycled with other glass bottles and jars.

    Please ensure jar is completely empty and place in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Pots and pansPots and pans

  • Pots and pans can be recycled with other steel and aluminium items.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin.

Glass lids

  • This glass cannot be recycled. Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin

 

Plastic storage containersPlastic storage containers

  • Plastic storage containers can be recycled with other plastic items.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Foam trays and plastic bagsFoam meat trays

  • Foam CANNOT be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

Plastic bags

Soft plastics (e.g. plastic bags, cling wrap, bubble wrap) cannot be placed in the yellow/recycling bin.
