Room to Recycle - laundry

 

Brooms and mopsBrooms and mops

  • Brooms and mops cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.
     

 

Cleaning productsCleaning products

  • Chemicals CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    Chemicals are hazardous and must be treated before appropriate disposal. Please hand unused cleaning products in at a hazardous waste collection.

Chemical containers

  • Empty plastic chemical containers can be recycled with other plastic containers.

    Please empty completely, flatten bottle if possible and replace lid loosely on the bottle. Place in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

ClothingClothing

  • Clothing and other textiles can be recycled through donation. If in good condition, consider giving it away or selling it or using as a rag.
     

OR

  • Place in the red/waste to landfill bin.


     

 

IronIron

  • These CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    Irons can be recycled with other electrical items.

For disposal, you can:

 

Kitty litterKitty litter

  • Kitty litter cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.
     

Kitty litter bags- paper

  • Empty paper bags can be recycled with other paper and cardboard items.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin.
     

Kitty litter bags- plastic

  • Recycle soft plastics by dropping them off at Coles Supermarkets in the soft plastics recycling bins (does not include cling wrap or zip lock bags)

  • Place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

Laundry powder boxesLaundry powder boxes

  • Washing powder boxes can be recycled with other paper and cardboard items.

    Please ensure box is empty and flatten box before placing in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Plastic washing basketsPlastic washing baskets

  • Washing baskets can be recycled with other plastic items.

    Place in the yellow/recycling bin.
     

 

Washing machineWashing machine

 

Bug sprayBug spray

  • Aerosol containers can be recycled with other steel and aluminium items.

    Please ensure can is completely empty.

    Remove plastic lid and place both items in the yellow/recycling bin.
