Room to Recycle - nursery

 

Light cover and bulbsLight globes 

  • These CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    Please drop any household globes/tubes (fluorescent, incandescent, LRD or halogen) off at any Mitre 10 hardware store or one of our local recycling drop-off points.
     

Light fittings

  • Light fittings are mixed material items and cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

Baby powderBaby powder

  • Baby powder bottles can be recycled with other plastic containers.

    Please empty completely and replace lid loosely on the bottle. Place in the yellow/recycling bin.

 

Nappies and wipesNappies and wipes

  • Disposable nappies and wipes cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

Empty plastic nappy/wipe packaging

  • Recycle soft plastics by dropping them off at Coles Supermarkets in the soft plastics recycling bins (does not include cling wrap or zip lock bags)

 

BlanketBlankets

  • Blankets and other textiles can be reused through donation - if good quality, consider giving them to charity.

    RSPCA also accepts some other items for pet bedding.

  • Place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

  • As these are battery operated, these CANNOT be placed in any kerbside bins.

    They can be recycled with other electrical items.

    If in good condition, consider giving it away or selling it.

  • Plastic toys can be recycled with other plastic items.

  • Wall stickers cannot be recycled.

    Please place in the red/waste to landfill bin.

 

ClothingDolls

  • Plastic toys can be recycled with other plastic items.

    Please remove any clothing/textiles before placing them in the yellow/recycling bin.
