The Arts Centre in Port Noarlunga is a hub

of culture and creativity, located in the Old

Institute Building on Gawler Street. The

institute has played an important role in

the creative and cultural life of the region

for many years as a theatre, and this is

continued through its use as a centre for the arts in the south.

The centre is part of the Out of the Square consortium, a metropolitan entertainment

circuit providing the best South Australian performers and talent to entertain

audiences, and features a regular program of cabaret performances, arts events and

visual arts exhibitions.

CHINOISERIE 2016

ARTIST: EMMA HACK

Emma’s newest works, Chinoiserie,

launched in Hong Kong last month,

feature the delicate positioning of her

muse as porcelain busts interacting within

her painted backgrounds, exploring

the intriguing beauty if our oriental

neighbours. Accompanying these works

are complimentary works from Emma’s

collections, exploring the theme further.

Emma Hack is an Australian artist working

in the unique medium of body paint

installation and photography. Exhibiting

extensively throughout Australia since

1999, Emma’s astounding artworks have

since captured the attention of collectors

and art lovers worldwide.

refined body paint camouflage technique,

through a combination of painting on

canvas, body painting and studio-based
