The state government has created a web page that answers a wide range of questions and provides a list of links to other relevant state government agencies leading the response.
Tutu Wirra Reserve is located within an area of cultural heritage interest to the Kaurna and other Aboriginal people. The reserve offers an excellent vantage point over the Onkaparinga estuary where it is thought that ‘Tjirbruki/Tjilbruke would have stood and reflected on what had happened’ (senior Kaurna community member).
Plenty of seating to simply sit and reflect. There is a lovely playground for the children with beautifully landscaped gardens and lovely ocean views.
Bookings are available for weddings and events with over 70 people.
The reserve was formally named on 18 July 2017 following community consultation. The Aboriginal name ‘Tutu Wirra’ means ‘lookout park’ in the Kaurna language. This name was provided by Kaurna Warra Karrpanthi Aboriginal Corporation.
